In The Midst


Below is the testimony of our brother, Elder C. Edward Smith. In so many words, the Lord truly proved His WORD to us the more at Grace and Truth Fellowship, by displaying His power to us after telling us the week before that He is our health care...

King David declared: “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when (the enmity) rose up against us: Then  (the enmity) (would have) swallowed us up quickly”      [Ps 124:2-3]

Looking back, after a mighty (divine) intervention in the sanctuary on the Lord's day, last Sunday; I am grateful for the “word” of the Lord, that: “When the (enmity) shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against (it).” [Isa 59:19]

As the Lord allowed, I was overcome (for a moment) by the enmity of an affliction (in my body) that sought to render me unconscious; and snuff out my worship, “in the midst” of the saints.  But thanks be to God who caused the “body of Christ” to “respond” (ie. exercise their faith) by condemning every lying tongue, and refuting every lying sign (of death), and declare the effectual quickening (Life) of the Spirit of the Lord in my mortal body. [Rom 8:11]

“I was (therefore) glad when (persuaded to go) to the house of the Lord”...for it was “in the midst” of the congregation where His might and power (to deliver) was made manifest IN me. [[Ps 122:1]

THE LORD THY GOD IN THE MIDST OF THEE,
IS MIGHTY, IS MIGHTY. (repeat)
AND HE SHALL REIGN IN THE MIDST OF THEE,
WITH POWER AND GRACE AND AUTHORITY.
